Moravian-Biotechnology has been helping customers for more than 26 years to develop novel monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies on demand - i.e. against a customer-supplied antigen (protein, peptide or other molecule). The service includes expert discussion of the best approach for the customer’s needs, help with design of the antigen, immunization into a range of animals (most commonly rabbit, sheep, mouse, rat, guinea pig) according to our optimized schedules, extensive testing, sending test samples and receiving customer feedback as appropriate before continuing with the immunization schedule. Polyclonal sera are collected and sent to the customer for their use. For monoclonal antibodies, multiple clones are tested by us and useful antibody-secreting clones are selected based on customer recommendations. These are further cloned and grown for antibody collection, and hybridoma cells are supplied to the customer. All our procedures are licensed through European Union approved regulations and we comply with all appropriate guidelines for animal welfare.

In addition to antibody production, it is possible to order more complex services including precise characterization of antibodies by immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunocytochemistry. We offer large scale monoclonal antibody production, purification and direct antibody labelling (fluorescent, peroxidase, etc). We can store and occasionally recover your hybridomas to ensure their maintenance, and we can supply antibodies according to your needs. Polyclonal antibodies can be affinity-purified by us to reduce background and improve their applicability.

We now have extensive experience of producing phospho-specific polyclonal sera, involving immuno-depletion against corresponding non-phosphopeptide followed by affinity purification against the phosphopeptide.
