| Attempting
to do science, we acquired
some experience to develop and characterise polyclonal and monoclonal
antibodies. During the time, the demand of our friends and colleagues
for new antibodies reached a limit, available at our institute
facilities. At the Spring 1996, we decided to establish a small
company, enabling to share our knowledge and experience to any person
interested. The company name was suggested by Ted Hupp, a friend of Moravian wine, food and since that time also biotechnology (Thank you Ted !). We also wish to express our thanks to David Lane and Philip Coates for another useful suggestions. Borek Vojtesek represents a guarancy of best results in all the tasks performed. Moravian-Biotechnology Ltd. is a small company developing antibodies "on demand", i.e. against customer supplied (or suggested if this is a peptide sequence) antigen. We can offer development of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies, including tests for performance in immunoprecipitation, immnunoblotting, immunohistochemistry and ELISA, purification and much more ... Our laboratory is dedicated to tissue cultures and antibody testing while the animal facilities are rented at the Veterinary Research Institute here in Brno to ensure full compliance with Czech and EU animal protecting acts.
